AS9110
Perry Johnson Registrars, Inc. (PJR) is accredited to offer third-party certification to AS9110, Quality Management System Requirements for Maintenance Organisations. AS9110 is a quality management system standard for aerospace maintenance, repair, and overhaul organisations (MROs). The International Aerospace Quality Group (IAQG) developed the standard to address MRO-specific concerns of safety, reliability, and airworthiness. AS9110 provides additional criteria for the maintenance and repair of general aviation, commercial, and military aircraft. This standard is complementary to AS9100 and is based on ISO 9001. The current revision, AS9110C, was published in 2016 and builds on AS9100, which incorporates ISO 9001.
AS9110 certification is separate from UK CAA regulatory approval, such as UK Part-145. It does not replace any CAA approval, licence, or authorisation – but it can complement an organisation’s regulatory and quality management arrangements by providing a structured framework for controlling maintenance processes, personnel competence, and parts traceability.
Accredited certification
PJR is authorised to perform accredited AS9110 certification audits. That accreditation comes from ANAB, so your certificate is recognised internationally through the IAF Multilateral Recognition Arrangement. Certificates are also recorded in the IAQG OASIS database, where airlines and OEMs search for approved suppliers.
Who needs AS9110?
Organisations whose primary business is the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of civil or military aircraft, including FAA certificated repair stations, EASA Part-145 organisations, airline and OEM maintenance divisions, and component, accessory, and engine repair shops.
